Dear friends,
Lazarus Artisan Goods began as a small idea within the work of Mission Lazarus — a ministry dedicated to holistic community development in Honduras and Haiti through education, healthcare, vocational training, economic opportunity and spiritual development. From the beginning, the vision was simple: create meaningful work through craftsmanship. By teaching leatherworking skills and building a business around those skills, we hoped to create dignified employment that could help transform lives. What started as a small workshop has grown into something much bigger than we imagined. Over the years, our artisans have refined their craft, our designs have evolved, and our community of customers has grown. Many of you have supported this work from the very beginning, and we are deeply grateful. As our craftsmanship has matured, we’ve also felt called to take the next step forward. Over the past year, we’ve been developing a new collection that reflects this growth — with upgraded hardware, carefully finished edges, and a more refined, minimalist design. This collection represents the next stage of our journey as makers. As we prepare for this new chapter, we will be retiring our current collection. Beginning March 17, we will open a Final Collection Sale, offering 75% off the remaining pieces from our current line. These designs represent the early years of Lazarus Artisan Goods — the products that helped us build this workshop, train artisans, and create opportunities for families in Honduras and Haiti. Once these pieces are gone, they will not be produced again. Thank you for being part of this story and for supporting the work of our artisans over the years. We’re excited to share more with you soon about the new collection coming later this year.
With gratitude,
Jarrod Brown
