Our Damascus Steel Blade knives handles are made from the extremely hard wood harvested from 75 year old coffee trees from the San Lazaro Coffee farm in Honduras. This wood is handcrafted in our woodworking ship in Honduras into the beautiful handles for our knives.
The Damascus steel blades are forged in the tradition of ancient sword makers and they are characterized by distinctive patterns of banding and mottling that resemble flowing water. This forging technique creates a blade reputed to be tough, resistant to shattering, and capable of being honed to a sharp, resilient edge. Note, these blades are NOT stainless steel and do require care to avoid corrosion.
The handcrafted wooden gift box is made from the Alamo tree, also harvested on the San Lazaro Coffee farm in the annual shade management process making sure that as much wood as possible is not wasted and put to good use. These boxes are made in our woodworking shop in Honduras.
The hand tooled leather case highlights the craftsmanship of the artisans in our leather shop in Honduras. Tooled and stitched 100% by hand, not only is this case going to last a lifetime, it looks great as well.
